The new Linton Fire Station is now complete, one year after construction started the fire department has moved in and is operating out of the new building. The ribbon cutting for the new station was held on December 06, 2006. The new building was a much needed update for the fire department. The old fire station built in 1912 was technologically advanced for its time, and served its purpose for several years for the fire department, but through the years the fire department has grown and become cramped for space. The new building technologically advanced as well, will allow the fire department to adequately provide the fire protection and emergency medical service that the citizens of Linton and Stockton Township expect and deserve. The Linton Fire Department would like to thank the following people. Mayor Tom Jones Clerk Treasurer Jack Shelton Linton City Council Members: Charles Cox, Jerry Ellett, Kelly Foglesong, Nigel Lehman, Tony Richards. Linton Building Corporation Members: Ralph Witty, Curtis Hatton, Edward Guthrie, Robert Kendall, George Skeel. Stockton Township Trustee The Late Tom Wall Jr.
